What is VacationSpaces.com?
VacationSpaces.com is a fully searchable, database of vacation rentals by owner. VacationSpaces.com makes it easy for you to find vacation rentals and save money by booking direct with the owner. VacationSpaces.com does not represent any of the rentals on our site and we do not handle any bookings. We are not a property management company - we are simply one of the largest and easiest tools to find vacation lodging on the web.

How do I register for an account?
Anyone can register for a free account by clicking here. All that is required is a unique username and password and you must agree to our terms and conditions of use.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No credit card is required to sign up! In fact, you can create your rental listing and preview it on our website before paying anything at all. Once you're ready to start your service, you may pay by credit card, money order, or check.

Do you offer a guarantee?
We guarantee that you'll receive paid bookings in excess of 10 times your first year listing fee or we'll extend that listing by 6 full months! This offer only applies to first year listings that are entered into the system after January 30, 2003, and does not apply to bulk or discounted listings. Property must be available for at least 6 months out of the year and the listing must display at least one exterior and one interior photograph.

How do I accept credit cards?
VacationSpaces.com now supports direct links to PayPal!
PayPalŪ is arguably the easiest and one of the least expensive methods for small businesses to accept credit cards over the internet. By opening a free PayPal Premier or PayPal Business account, you can accept credit card payments at rates as low as 2.2% plus $.30/transaction. PayPal does not charge any monthly or setup fees. Also, PayPal no longer requires your customers to setup an account to pay!
With your PayPal Premier or Business account, VacationSpaces.com will automatically add the credit card logo to your listing with a link to pay you directly. The money is deposited to your PayPal account where you can then withdrawal it by transfer to your bank account or through other methods. VacationSpaces.com is not an intermediary in the transaction at all!

Alternatively, you can setup a merchant account with a bank to accept credit card payments. These usually require a commitment (1-3 years), a monthly fee ($20-40/month) plus the normal transaction fees. If you use QuickBooks to manage your finances, we highly recommend Intuit's merchant account through Wells Fargo for $19.95/month that integrates directly into QuickBooks. With QuickBooks merchant account you can accept credit card payments over the phone which are then directly deposited into your bank account.
Currently, VacationSpaces.com does not link to any other payment service other that PayPal. If you'd like VacationSpaces.com to link directly to your payment processor, let us know!

What does it mean to be SquareTrade Verified?
VacationSpaces.com will automatically show your SquareTrade Seal on your listing to show your commitment to high standards! Simply enter your 12-digit seal ID on the "Overview" page of your listing. Your 12-Digit Seal ID is given in your welcome email from SquareTrade. You can also find the Seal ID on your "Account Status" page at SquareTrade.

Can inquiries go to a different email address than admin emails?
VacationSpaces.com allows you to setup an inquiry email address for each property listing. This allows you to have an admin email address for billing, renewals, etc. and a separate email for your inquiries. If somebody else manages your rental bookings, this is a great way to have inquiries sent directly to them! Each property you list with us can have it's own inquiry email.

How do I report copyright/trademark infringement?
We provide an automated internet-based service to users which they use to advertise vacation rentals. We contractually prohibit our users from using the service to post text and photographs ("data") that infringes third party intellectual property rights (such as copyright, trademark, trade dress and right of publicity).
We try to conduct our business in a manner that limits the instances where a user posts data that may infringe the intellectual property rights of others. However, because the users setup and update their advertisements through an automated service, we cannot assure that the data posted may not, from time to time, infringe such rights.
Accordingly, we encourage intellectual property rights owners to contact us if they believe that their rights have been infringed by subscribers using our service. If you let us know that your rights are being infringed by one of our users we will (in our discretion) require that the user cease posting the infringing data and, if the user continues to infringe your rights (or infringes the rights of others) terminate the user's access to our services.
If you believe that your intellectual property rights have been infringed by a user of our service, please provide our office with a notification that contains the following information:
1) A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright or other rights that have been allegedly infringed.
2) Identification of the copyright or other rights that have been allegedly infringed.
3) The URL used in connection with the posting of the allegedly infringing data.
4) Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
5) A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the data in the manner complained of is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent or the law.
6)A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright or other right that is allegedly infringed.
